Affiliate Programme

Join our growing community - become an Affiliate member!

Who can join:

Do you have an affinity with data science? Are you already engineering cool data pipelines? Are you looking to connect with other data scientists, engineers, and researchers within the university and increase your visibility? 

Anyone working with data science at UvA is invited to apply to become an Affiliate member and join the DSC community! The current Affiliate member list can be found here.

A snapshot of some of our community events: Seminars, workshops, off-site outings, and more

Membership benefits: 

  • Access to a platform that allows you to connect and meet with like-minded and cross-disciplinary peers and colleagues (that you might otherwise not have a chance to meet)
  • Priority access to specialised training and upskilling opportunities that can further your data science career or interests
  • Opportunities to showcase your research and increase your research profile within UvA
  • Profiling on the DSC website and social media (e.g. see our Member Spotlight)
  • Networking opportunities with other specialists, both within UvA and externally (e.g. Data Science Day)
  • Invitations to fun community-only events like our annual Away Day

In return, we ask Affiliate Members to:

  • Regularly participate in our Coffee and Data community meet-ups (minimum 3 per year)
  • Where the DSC has provided financial or research support: Acknowledge the DSC in your relevant outputs
