We are excited to host a joint plenary session with the UvA’s Data Expertise Centre (DEC), with a special keynote by Prof. Ana Lucic on “Foundation models for Earth system modeling”, and a series of talks by the DSC’s cohort of interdisciplinary PhDs including Stefanie Boss, Niklas Müller, Owen Kapelle, Zeyu Zhang, and Jacobus Dijkman.

Showcase and Celebration: DSC Faculty Hubs
Venue: UB A1.01 (Chirurgisch Theater)
Our afternoon plenary concludes with a showcase and celebration of the Data Science Centre’s seven new faculty hubs, whose coordinators will present plans, calls, and provocations. Join us to see how we can build data science and AI communities across the university and reshape research collaboration.

Posters, Demos, and Network drinks
Venue: UB E-1.01 (Salon and Laboratorium)
Explore the latest developments in research applying AI and data science at the University of Amsterdam. From fundamental methods to applied projects tackling societal challenges, this poster and demo expo showcases a diverse range of research initiatives, education programmes and community hubs that demonstrate how collaboration across disciplines and skills creates real-world impact. There will also be plenty of opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with the poster presenters and other attendees over drinks and bites at our borrel.
