Software Carpentry workshop for UvA-researchers
The demand for data-driven research to address complex issues is on the rise. The most common programming languages for data analysis are Python and R. If you are looking to begin with Python, then this workshop is tailored for you.
From Tuesday, March 19 to Friday, March 22, the Library in collaboration with the Vrije Universiteit will be hosting a four-day course for researchers and master's students from UvA and VU. The course aims to provide a foundational understanding of programming with Python, Unix Shell, and Git. The course material is based on The Carpentries, a global organization of researchers, programmers, and knowledge workers who provide accessible instruction in data and software skills to their peers.
This course will cover the following topics:
Programming with Python
