SEMINAR PRESENTATION

  • Speaker: Shuai Yuan, Assistant Professor, Amsterdam People Analytics Centre, Faculty of Economics & Business
  • Presentation description: The broad objective of the project is to understand the behavioral consequences of leaders' (politicians or business leaders) expressions on social media sites (e.g., Twitter). We applied text-mining techniques (e.g., sentiment analysis and dictionary-based analysis) to extract (1) emotional signals, (2) the level of certainty, and (3) the level of confidence conveyed in the Tweets.

In this seminar, we would like to learn from the community how to better handle short texts and whether new tools like chatGPT can be useful for our research purposes.
