This three-hour workshop (10:00 - 13:00) will contain an introduction to Cloud computing and a case study. Lunch will be provided after the workshop is finished (13:00 - 14:00).

Workshop summary:

In the first half of the workshop, the trainers will provide information on:

  • the development of Cloud computing and different service and deployment models
  • examples of Cloud services, standards and strategies in Cloud computing
  • Cloud native architecture and
  • Cloud services that the University of Amsterdam provides to researchers.

The second half of the workshop will be more interactive and focus on a case study data analytics using Cloud services. During the workshop participants are encouraged to ask questions. A free lunch is provided after the workshop is finished.

No prior knowledge required.
